Popis vozidla
Please read description carefully.
Volvo 142 1973 B20A Engine M40 transmission.
I´ve purchased it in Germany tot the family of the original owner , he even keep the newspaper from the day the car was delivered new to them (pictures) It was registered in Germany with H registration and now is in Spain with temporary registration .
Car was out of the road for a long time and needed some mechanical work , ive done following repairs:
New brake system : calipers , disc, hoses, pipes, pads... front brake upgraded to 164 vented disc system.
New polyurethane suspension bushes all round except top wishbone that are Volvo original, Lesjofors rally springs and Bilstein B6 shocks front and rear.
New steering rods and bushes , new front wheel bearings
New clutch and cable.
Radiator was professionally rebuilt and a fittingfor a thermo switch was added just in case you want to add an extra fan , but it run on spanish summer without issues so i thpought it doesnt need it at all.
New cooling hoses, water pump, 82 degree thermostat and tropical spec 5 blade fan, new expansion tank (Volvo Original)
New head and oil pan gaskets , new fuel pump , new carburettor diaphragm , new spark plugs and leads, new distribuitor cap and rotor
New Simmons sport exhaust front to rear .
A lot more small parts to tell...over 4000€ spent just in parts!!!
Body needs attention , there are some rusted areas but its a solid car in general terms . Original paint code is white , it was painted dark blue by the original owner.
Previous owner added a GL leather seat set but it needs repairs due cracks on leather and some cushion replacement. Dashboard have some cracks and door pannels could be better.
Electrical system needs some attention too.
You should consider this car as a good base for a full restoration project with a lot of work already done . It will be a magnificent historic rally car , runs and drives but is not a "ready to go" car , I will not attend to lowballers "whats your last price" questions and photo/video collectors .
Can be seen and tested near Madrid (Spain) I will prefer that you come and check the car personally .
