"Nel 1982 viene lanciata la Ferrari Mondial Quattrovalvole, equipaggiata con la nuova testata a 32 valvole. La potenza cresce a 240 cv e ne giovano anche le prestazioni: la velocità massima sale 240 km/h. Dal punto di vista estetico e telaistico, l'auto resta invariata. All’interno la plancia e il tunnel centrale vengono ridisegnati per alloggiare nuovi tasti e un impianto elettrico aggiornato. Cambia anche l'alloggiamento del computer di bordo, mentre l'autoradio è più facile da raggiungere. Per l'occasione vennero apportate modifiche anche alla finitura interna: selleria, pannelli e maniglie interne. Sulla plancia compare la targhetta "Quattrovalvole"
